Friday July 11, 2008

I woke up at 4:03am PST. I guess it's jet lag and my body was thinking that it was 7am

well, I went back to sleep and then got up again around 6am and took this picture.

After taking a shower and drinking a cup of coffee, I went outside to get a picture of the car and the house. We rented a 2008

Chevy Impala. It's a nice car, but It seems to ride a little rough. I wanted to get the G8, but they're charging more because its

new and "Best in Class". Ohh well.

Thursday July 10, 2008

I was woken up at 6am EST and got ready to leave for the airport. By about 6:30 we were

getting everything into the car and leaving for the airport.

Once we got to MCO we ate and went to our gate.

I've noticed lately that the seats on most planes are made by Recaro

Though, I wish they were racing seats, which would make them more comfortable.

On the way we made a stop over in Atlanta to let some people off. Then we proceded to LAX.

We landed in LAX at about 2:30pm PST.

We were driving around and saw my dads cousin at their house hoping to see my Lola

(grandmother), but she went with my cousins to Hollywood. **No Image**

The adults talked for a bit and then wanted to get some Halo Halo, and there was a

Jolllibee next to Chow King where we went and I wanted to get a picture with the bee!

Though there are things that I need to do, I'm glad I'm here. I really needed to get away from things.

There are so many turns on this road called life.
All these twists are causing so much strife.
But life keeps putting me into these positions
Is it me, or the the fates, making all the decisions?
would things be different if I did something
Or is it best to sit back and do nothing

I don't know where the roads lead,
and the signs are getting harder to read.
This road is taking me places.
going around and seeing new faces.
What is there around the next bend?
Another path or just another dead end?

What happens next I don't know,
but it's temping me for more.

----- Day Three -----
Friday July 20, 2007

-- What a Dam day --

-- souvenir shopping

-- then we left Vegas to go to the Hoover Dam

-- one of the power grids...

-- They're building a bridge that will bypass the dam and close it off to vehicular traffic. It will cross over the Colorado River, about a mile or two from the dam. It's interesting to see them working on it though. I'm not quite sure on how they're going to do it, but I am guessing that it's going to have a big arch. I doubt they'll have a big pillar going down into the river.

-- Some statue at the dam that had to do with astrology... I don't remember what though, sorry. It must not have been that interesting. but I like the pictures

-- Dam traffic

-- Interesting story. Shame how he died though

-- I like architecture

-- the Dam Store

-- Another Dam sculpure

-- The Hoover Dam
-- It provides power to some of Arizona, Nevada (Clark County), and even Los Angeles. It's big and definately a site to see

-- After the dam we had to go back though I-15 to get back to California. and passed the backend of the strip and a few casinos

-- On the way back to California we kept seeing people towing dune buggys, sandrails, and driving clean lifted trucks, not the redneck SHIT that's in Florida, these are real trucks that can handle high speeds, turns, scratches, dirt, and alot of beatings. When we stopped in Barstow again, we went to this Shopping center to get gas, and some food. Not the one from before, a different place. but there were masses of RVs towing buggys, trucks, sandrails, ATVs, dirt bikes, and just about anything that can have some fun in the desert. It was like Mad Max.
It was amazing! The craftmanship. The mechanics. The Skill.
I didn't get a picture of it, but here are a couple vehicles.

------ DAY TWO ------

-- The home we're staying at in Riverside, CA. We stay here every time we come to Southern California. They're nice people on my dads side of the family.

-- typical Southern California palm trees.

-- As we drive throgh the San Bernardino Valley on the way to Las Vegas, NV

-- Sin City This way... Over two hundred miles away

-- We stop at this place every time we go from Vegas to Riverside. Before there was just a McDonalds. Now there's a Qizno's, Panda Express, TCBY, and a Popeye's next door. There's probably more, but I don't remember. One thing that hasn't changed though is the radio station upstairs by the bathroom.

-- The Mojave Desert outside of Barstow, CA. It's about one hundred and fifty miles away from Las Vegas. The scenery changes, but it all looks the same for the most part.

-- I took this right after crossing the Nevada/California state line. It's a three hour drive from Riverside. and one hour away from Las Vegas

-- Once we got into Vegas, this is the view from I-15. The hotels in the picture are New YOrk New York, MGM Grand, Excalibur, and the Venetian.

-- The Sahara. Sinatra used to rule this place in the good 'ole days.

-- The Stratosphere Hotel and Casino. The last of the big hotels on the strip. Then a little bit down is historic Fremont St., downtown Las Vegas.

-- The pyramid of the Luxor. The light is pretty bright at night.

-- n/t

-- We came to vegas to meet up with people. This is where one of the people lives.

-- It's a really nice house, with an oriental feel. This is the only picture I took of the inside.

-- talking about stuff, drinking, eating

-- Tita Precy and Tita Florence getting the food ready.

-- The kids were playing with waterballoons, and I got in there for a bit. I don't remember half their names. Josh, Zack, Macy, Jon, Jeremy, I'm bad with names

-- people talking after dinner

-- and the kids watching Disney Channel... must be tired after running around so much

-- BALLIN!!

Downtown Las Vegas -- Freemont Street

Every hour all of the casinos along this covered stretch turn off all their exterior lights, and this show that they call Viva Vision begins. It's a pretty interesting thing to see. The same thing is repeated down the tunnel so everyone gets the same show. I have been to Las Vegas many times, this is the first time I have gone to Downtown. Though we got there a little late, and missed the street shows, we made it to see some things still, and look around the shops. It was new and impressive.

-- The hotel we stayed at for the night. There is no free WiFi in Las Vegas, or at least Circus Circus

I'm back in Riverside, and I just got done cropping and uploading pics of day two...
Day three is next
But tomorrow is day four..

It's 1am
I'm tired
I'm a day behind on the blog
These busy days are making it hard to keep up

but...!!!!

.. Right before we left for Las Vegas, my cousin Dodjie came to his parents house where I am staying and said that there is time for me to go to the San Diego Comic Conventionand be able to come back to be able to fly home. Though I will not be there for Saturday and Sunday, I was supposed to go last summer, but there was a birth in the family so they didn't go. The largest comic convention in America. YAY! ... hahaha .

-- waiting to board the plane in Orlando,FL

-- sitting at the stop over gate in Atlanta, GA

-- I'm not sure where we're at

-- Randy's Donut shop.... mmmm forbidden donut. Englewood, CA

-- Los Angeles skyline from the plane

-- Welcome to the city of Angels :)

-- Swami Beach . Encinitas, CA and the Pacific Ocean

-- really, really tall boardwalk

Now I sit here in my cousins old room in Riverside, CA. wondering what else I should be writing here. Just to keep it from just being all pictures

here's the short of it...
me and my partner are making a comic...
werewolves, vampires, zombies, killing, blood, vulgarity, cool stuff...
who wants to be in it?

chances are you're likeness is going to be killed in the end, but if i like you enough you will join the fight between good and evil, and you wont be on the good side... I'm tired of the good guys always winning

THIS WILL BE SENT TO IMAGE COMICS TO BE EVALUATED OR BE PUBLISHED BY US AND SOLD

we are evil and we like it!

“Mankind is pure evil. We’re just the ones taking their place.”

"a lot of cool things, but didn't get what I was hoping for..."

and I will never get it...
we have grown apart from that stage and are just friends now

All I Ever Wanted
All I ever wanted was
I don't wanna lie
All I ever wanted was
A shot that I never got
All I ever needed
No one ever cared
All I ever wanted was
Someone take me outta here

Horrible way to end the year
but... I plan on blowing alot of stuff up while highly inebriated
and fire is always fun
as is liquor

The new year will begin wonderfully
... at least, the best I can make it

people tend to be so envious of what others have
that they don't focus on what is there for them
take what you have, and cherish it
you don't know when it will go away

i hope everyone has a merry turkey day today!
